The next time you have a little fender bender have no fear. It can very easily be rectified. This man truly changed his perspective on what could have been a very anger filled event. Seems that, in Russia, there is no mandatory car insurance. Chances are one will pay fully for any repairs necessary to their vehicle after a mishap. Rather than moaning and groaning in an angry tirade, this fellow saw opportunity and a chance to let his artistic abilities soar. Very different than peoples attitudes here in the United States a sue happy nation. A far healthier and more productive outlet is this dent art. He turned his door in a fantastic map of the Altai Mountain range. How awesome is that. Master a little self control and anger management and move on with life, fortify ones education in geography, and hone those artistic abilities. Perhaps we ought to try this here in the United States. Think about it, we would have some pretty cool looking vehicles rolling around.
This gentleman tops my list with ambition and amazing talent to build a 1.2 scale of a Tie Fighter from Star Wars. Imagine having your very own Tie Fighter in the garage! Took him 2 years to complete with the help of a lot of his friends who share his passion. The endeavor was well worth it as it resulted in such a magnificent conclusion. To be honest, I can see my son doing just this. I remember taking him to the debut of Star Wars on the silver screen back in 1977. My Dad was with us, as he himself loved space movies. My son was only 6 years old and fell in love with Star Wars that very day, as did my Dad. My son is now 45 still watching and loving every minute of anything Star Wars. So, yes, I can see him building just this….or an XWing.
Now take a look at this young girl named Saya. She is the daughter of a Japanese couple, Yuka and Teruyuki Ishikawa. Or is she? Turns out Saya is a computer generated image (cgi). True, she was created by Yuka and Teruyuki Ishikawa but only through computer technology. Neither Yuka or Teruyuki had any formal training in 3D CG imaging. They are self taught and rather well self taught, as they had most people totally fooled into thinking Saya was an actual living person. The Ishikawas have proceeded to turn Saya in an animated figure which adds more credibility to Saya’s life like physical qualities. The ‘parents’ are going a step further now with a film in the works. Saya is leading a rather exciting life.
Another fascination is hand art. Hands no longer look like hands but transformed magnificently into mammals, reptiles, butterflies, birds, fish, or whales. Some paintings involve the arms and even the hands or arms of other individuals to complete and image. Perfectly blended patterns of colors. The ability to utilize the creases of finger knuckles and the appropriate angulation of the joints. Takes a trained eye to accomplish all these interlocking features. Just how long must these arms and hands remain motionless until completion of the artistry and photography to permanently capture the mesmerizing work. Add that second person into the equation of stillness when working on an elaborate piece such as this masterpiece. Everyone must work together and a masterpiece is created.
Sidewalk art is top of my list. It is done all in chalk. What a shame because just one rain storm and poof gone, nada. So, if you ever come across this, take plenty of advantage appreciating the hours of work and fantastic eye for depth perception. People with this kind of talent are quite unique in their ability to make something look so real that the mind actually thinks it will fall into the abyss. This is 3D taken to a whole new level. Take plenty of pictures for lasting memories of art work you will never see again if you don’t. As I said, this is my favorite. I can only hope to be fortunate enough and encounter one of these masters at work throughout the rest of my life’s journey. Note…added to bucket list.
Legos, we all have more than likely played with Legos at some point in our life. When I was growing up, there were no Legos but there were Bricks that spiked my interest as a kid. So I was ready when Legos came along in time for my kids. What a lot of fun building little houses and then the little Lego people were added into scenario, little vehicles to build, hats depicting the occupation of a certain figure and on and on and on and on….Legs has not ever ceased to create bigger and more intricate designs. More colors came out. Hinges were developed. Knights in armor, policemen, horses, flowers, and space ships were introduced. Each theme was thought out right down to the minutest accessories of buckets, helmets, flames, etc. Then themes such as Star Wars hit the market. Lego now has a theme park and specialty stores displaying huge pieces and pieces of great detail. Take a look — If that doesn’t blow your mind, I don’t know what will.
The years have only expanded the mediums through which artists create and enhanced the many genres of art. Even graffiti has taken on new levels in areas where they designate certain spots for these artisans to work their magic legally. It is a huge controversy but it is a recognized art form.
Now that I’ve given you plenty beautiful and interesting things to look at, tis time for me to do some of my own creating, although far more tame and simplistic than these masters.
Regardless I love creating my versions and sharing them with the world as well.

― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Just do …. create your own beauty. If people question, create more. They will find their own beauty and too will create.
